In this class series, we will practice a mindfulness technique that focuses on awareness itself. It is a technique that is very helpful for bringing practice into our lives. It is not required reading in order to attend the class, but you are welcome to read «When Awareness Becomes Natural: A Guide to Cultivating Mindfulness in Everyday Life» by Sayadaw U Tejaniya.
Drop-ins are welcome.
Schedule: This drop-in class meets on 6 Monday nights from February 18th to March 25th from 7:30p-9p at InsightLA East Hollywood.
Cost: This class is a donation-based class. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. The suggested donation for this class series is $30.
$30 per person of an average size class at InsightLA covers the cost of paying teachers, administrators, rent and outreach, as well as covering the participation of students who will pay less.
Please give generously. Your act of generosity is significant. The Buddha taught that all of the beautiful qualities of heart and mind begin with generosity: Generosity dissolves the separation of self and other… Giver receiver and gift intertwined. Everyone has a role to play in supporting the whole community practicing to their fullest potential.
NOTE: There is also a daylong on February 9th from 10am-4pm for those who wish to spend a day of practice exploring this topic with Melissa McKay. For more info and to register, please visit: Open, Spacious, Awareness: Mindfulness of Mind Daylong.
