Demanding Justice for those killed by law enforcement!
Demanding that District Attorney Jackie Lacey step down.
When: July 11, 2018 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM
Where: 211 W Temple St, Los Angeles, CA 90012
5 years, more than 400 people have been killed by police in LA County and not a single officer has been charged. The lack of action by the district attorney sends a very troubling message to police officers. They can continue to intimidate, harass and kill our people and they will not be held accountable for their actions. We are demanding that Jackie Lacey step down due to her lack of action. She refuses to prosecute corrupt, abusive, and murderous police.
D.A. Jackie Lacey has chosen not to prosecute a single officer, even when it was recommended by the Los Angeles Chief of Police.
On October 25th, 2017 a group of coalition members lead by Black Lives Matter LA dropped off a petition requesting D.A. Jackie Lacey prosecute cops who kill our people with more than 10,000 signatures. D.A. Jackie Lacey refused to accept the petition herself instead sent down special assistant Cheryl Gaines to speak with the coalition members and accept the petition.
On December 28th, 2017, D.A. Jackie Lacey personally contacted organizers and indicated that she'd be open to such a meeting and that January 23, 2018 was available on her calendar. Then, she called back the very next day and rescinded by saying that she didn't think it would be «productive.»
Call D.A. Jackie Lacey as often as you can — let’s make sure she hears us
