This is the 8.5 mile afternoon segment of the full 18 mile San Pedro stair-walk loop. This second half of the full loop of my boyhood home is a hilly route that starts from the Lighthouse Cafe (where the morning segment concluded), and heads back to Peck Park where the morning segment started. The afternoon segment visits Pt Fermin Park, then the Korean Friendship Bell, and as an option, the remnants of WWII era 14" hidden coastal defense guns at Fort MacArthur. The route then climbs to the 200 foot long 25th St mural, a small part shown in the cover photo, and continues upward to Friendship Park, descends to Averill Park, and passes over a few smaller stairways on the walk back to the end, with 5 stairways and one more mural at Peck Park, where Part 1 started in the morning.
